Shopping, Ordering and Payment


Sign In

All customers can sign in into the website by clicking “Sign In” at the top line and visiting the sign in page. At the sign in page new customers can create a new account by clicking on the red “Create An Account” button underneath “New Customers” at the bottom left hand side. Customers who have already created an account can sign in under “Registered Customers” by entering the e-mail address and password they used when initially establishing an account and clicking the red “Sign In” button at the bottom right hand side. If a registered customer does not have password at hand then he/she can click the green “Forgot Password” link and enter his/her e-mail address on the ensuing page. A new password will be sent to the e-mail address entered. After sign in customers will have access to their account.

My Account

While a customer need not have an account to make a purchase on the Site, we strongly suggest all customers create an account. Having an account saves time when shopping online because your account information will be used to populate data fields automatically, and you will not have enter the same information for future orders when checking out.

Customers who create or have an account can access their account by 1) clicking the “Sign In” or 2) the “My Account” link, located in brown near the top of the website, and then following the sign in procedure detailed under “Sign In” above

When you sign into your account you will immediately land on your Account Dashboard (“My Dashboard”) page. Here you will see your default shipping and billing addresses. On the right hand side you can click on and browse various items related to your account, including the following: Account Information, Address Book, My Orders, Billing Agreements, Recurring Profiles, My Product Reviews, My Downloadable Products, and Newsletter Subscriptions. To return to the previous page click “Back” located in green at the bottom of each of these pages.

Under “Account Information” you may edit your first name, last name, e-mail address or change your password. Under “Address Book”, you may edit your contact information, including first and last name, company, telephone number, fax number, and address. Under “My Orders”, you can view your past and current orders. Under “My Product Reviews”, you can see your prior product reviews. Under “Newsletter Subscriptions” you can view your newsletter preferences.


To order products from our website from our homepage you may 1) select one of the six main navigation buttons, black (tea), oolong (tea), green (tea), white (tea), herbal (tea), spices and herbs, or gifts and wares, respectively, or 2) alternatively, navigate directly to a product listed from the tabbed homepage section with tabs for “New Teas”, “Top Teas”, and “Top Spices.”

If you clicked a main navigation button, then you will be sent to a page that lists all the products available under the respective main navigation subject. For example, if you click “Black”, you will reach the main category page for Black Teas which will list all the black teas in our inventory. From this page, you will have the ability to narrow your main selection by either 1) clicking “Ask the Teatender” on the left hand side of the page to narrow your selection by listed preferences, or 2) directly browsing subcategories of your main navigation selection. The subcategories are listed on the left hand side of the page underneath “Ask the Teatender” under their respective main category.

From the subcategory pages, you will see products that belong to such respective subcategory. You may choose to view more details on each product by clicking “View Details” in red. Once you have chosen a product to view, on the product’s page you will see detailed descriptions of the product. You can select size and quantity of the item and add the item to your Shopping Cup.


You may order a product by first choosing the size and quantity of the item on the product page and then clicking the red “Add to Shopping Cart” button on the product page. Your Shopping Cup will automatically update with your selection. You may continue to navigate the website and add items to the shopping cart until you are finished shopping.

At any time, you may view your Shopping Cup, or complete your purchase by clicking 1) “View Shopping Cup” located in red at the bottom of the mini-shopping cup located below the main navigation bar on the upper right hand side of the website, or 2) “My Shopping Cart” at the top right hand side of the of the page.

On the Shopping Cup page, you may change your order by clicking on the item or entering a new quantity and then clicking "Update Shopping Cup" located in the second brown bar. You may enter a Promotion Code in the box provided in the lower right hand corner of the Shopping Cup page. After entering a code you must click “Apply Code” in green below the box.

Additionally, you may request an estimate of your shipping and tax total based on your shopping cart information and the destination information you enter in the three (3) boxes provided in the lower right hand corner of the Shopping Cup page. This is only an estimate and Mahamosa reserves the right to change actual tax and shipping charges based on the final order.


When you are ready to complete your purchase you must choose a checkout method by clicking either 1) “Proceed to Checkout”, 2) “Checkout with Multiple Addresses”, or 3) “Google Checkout”, whichever your prefer. Use “Checkout with Multiple Addresses” if you intend to have items you purchase delivered to one or more addresses. At our checkout you will 1) enter billing information, 2) enter shipping information (unless you choose to ship to the same address as your billing address), 3) choose a shipping method, 4) select a payment method and enter necessary payment information, 5) review your order, and 6) place order and finish checkout.


All prices listed on the product prices are in U.S. dollars ($US), and do not include taxes.


Mahamosa charges all applicable state taxes which will be added to your order before you check out. Applicable taxes will be charged on merchandise, shipping and gift packaging as appropriate. You may get a tax estimate prior to Checkout at the Shopping Cup page as detailed above under “Ordering”.


You must pay all amounts that you owe us on each order, including sales tax and shipping and handling charges, when due. You may pay for your purchases by any of the following: Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards, Discover or American Express credit cards. When you pay by a credit or debit card, we will not charge your card until the merchandise is shipped. If your order contains one or more back ordered items, the back ordered portion will not be charged until the item(s) become available. If you receive an "error notice" that we cannot process your payment card information, please check to ensure you entered the correct card number and expiration date, and that the billing name and address you entered match your payment card statement exactly. If a problem persists, please check with the bank that issued your card. You must notify us immediately of any change in your payment card information, including any change to your home address.

Tracking Orders

Back Orders

We do accept back orders when products are unavailable, provided we intend to restock the product in our inventory.

Order Cancellation

We begin processing your order immediately upon receipt. For this reason we will not be able to cancel your order once you have submitted it to us. If you decide you do not want the products you have purchased, you may return the item pursuant to our Returns & Exchanges Policy.

Order Confirmation

After you place an order we will send you two emails as follows: the first email confirms that your order has been received, and the second email confirms your order has shipped. You may check the current status of the order by clicking on the order number that appears in these emails. You can also check the status of your orders by clicking on Track Order at the top of our site. Please allow up to twenty-four (24) hours for shipping information to be updated.

Order Status Change

We make every attempt to ensure that items you have ordered are available. However, occasionally we run out of inventory. If you ordered an item that is out of stock, we will contact you, usually by email, as soon as possible to let you know. If we do not expect to receive your ordered item back in stock, we will cancel that item from your order. If you paid with a credit card, you will not be charged for the canceled item, or for taxes or shipping on that item. If your order qualifies for a promotion and one or more items in your order is canceled, your order total will be adjusted to reflect the change and your order may no longer qualify for the promotion.
