Grown in the Wuyi Mountains, this exquisite organic Chinese tea is rare as the leaves are plucked once per year in late March to early April. Usually Qu Hao is green tea, but during this small period of time, black Qu Hao is produced in limited quantities. Hand dried the leaves are pressed against a Chinese wok to produce the delicate twists. Zoom in to the image above to see in detail the curly leaves with some golden tips.
